Experts say that when a company has a real and true purpose, it provides a visible reason for decisions to be made and tasks to be executed. In recent months, the GAC has been undergoing changes with the implementation of Strategic Planning, among which is the new Group Basic Policy, which will guide all work, planning, and investments made.
The Group's Basic Policy is comprised of Purpose, Mission, Vision, and Values. To begin understanding it, let's discuss its first pillar: Purpose.
"Contributing to the country's development by fostering customer growth" is Grupo Aço Cearense's purpose. For Cinthia Cavalcanti, Director of Organizational Development and IT, "our work makes perfect sense when we see how many people are positively impacted by it, whether they're close to us, like our customers, or all Brazilians who see their lives improved in a sustainably developed country."
Purpose is a reason to be proud, to believe that your work has an impact somewhere. Raimundo Feliciano, from the Civil Construction department at ACI Matriz, says: "I think this Group purpose is important not only for the company, but for all employees and customers as well. I think it's excellent. It's a very good initiative, aimed at improving everything—our region, the city, and even the country."
