About to complete 38 years of operations in the steel market, on October 15th, Grupo Aço Cearense celebrates the strength of its companies in the country's economic scenario and the correct and responsible socio-environmental actions that have always guided its work.
By aligning its business with socially engaged management, it strengthens and expands efforts to combat poverty and marginalization, contributing to the development of Ceará and Pará, where SINOBRAS is located. To support this work, the Group relies on the Instituto Aço Cearense, responsible for all its social, educational, sports, and environmental initiatives.
One of the institutions that has received support from the Institute since October 2016 is Junior Achievement (JA) Ceará, a non-profit educational association maintained by the private sector, which aims to awaken the entrepreneurial spirit in young people through the “Learning by doing” method, pioneering financial education, preparation for the job market and entrepreneurship, generating pathways for employability and job creation.
Founded in April 2005 and headquartered in Fortaleza, JA Ceará offers 25 educational programs focused on entrepreneurship, benefiting children, adolescents, and adults. Through its technology, it seeks to foster a new understanding of education, incorporating entrepreneurship into the elementary, secondary, and university curricula.
By 2016, the association had benefited 46,500 students from 320 schools, including private and state public schools, and 2,261 volunteers and methodology advisors from partner companies and universities across the state.
As one of the sponsors of Junior Achievement Ceará, the Instituto Aço Cearense contributes to the maintenance of activities in favor of the training of young people and, consequently, to the future of the entrepreneurial class, the economy of the state and the country.
