Dia da Mulher é celebrado com debate e ações de reconhecimento pelo Grupo Aço Cearense
International Women's Day is a time for awareness and reflection on women's struggle for equality. The Aço Cearense Group understands the importance of respecting and recognizing women's causes. To commemorate the day, celebrated on March 8th, the Group has prepared initiatives for its female employees to bring important discussions about gender and female empowerment into the workplace.
Starting this month, all employees will have the opportunity to celebrate and recognize the talents of the women who are part of Grupo Aço Cearense's daily work. The "We Are Grateful, Women" campaign will feature messages of support and affection from coworkers recognizing the women working at Grupo Aço Cearense's companies, via the intranet.
On March 8th, Milena Monteiro, National Leader of the Social Assistance area of the Justiceiras Project, will be invited to a virtual meeting with employees of the Group's companies. The meeting will be moderated by a representative from the Human Resources department and will focus on "Violence against Women," as a way to raise public awareness about such an important issue. The Justiceiras Project was conceived amid concerns about the increase in domestic violence during social isolation.
According to Cinthia Cavalcanti, director of organizational development and IT at Grupo Aço Cearense, initiatives like these can contribute to reflection on this topic. "We want our female employees to have access to information and to feel welcomed by the company. It's essential that they know how to seek help in cases of violence and that they understand that this violence can be physical, psychological, moral, and even financial. Our goal is to encourage them to become better informed and understand their rights, which is why we emphasize the need to hold discussions on domestic violence, female empowerment, and other topics that help build a better and more just society between the genders," she emphasizes.
