Ceará-born paracyclist Gilberto Silva brought home new medals. He placed second and third in two events of the Brazilian Paracycling Cup, which took place on February 23rd and 24th in Maringá, Paraná.
The Copa Brasil is one of the main events on the national calendar and counts points in the national and international rankings. On Saturday (23), Gilberto went to Maringá with the support of the Instituto Aço Cearense, which has supported the athlete for nine years, and achieved third place in the time trial and on Sunday, he came in second place in the endurance race (70km).
For Gilberto, a former national champion, each race is a milestone. "The result of this race was very good, but I still want to surpass myself further, as my goal is to compete in international championships and perhaps make the Brazilian national team. And thanks to the Instituto Aço Cearense, I can participate in races that are very important for my career growth," said the paracyclist.
