On April 12th, the Aço Cearense Group presented its sustainability success stories to graduate students at the University of Fortaleza (Unifor). A talk show was held to share knowledge with the students. The event on corporate sustainability also featured Enel and Cimento Apodi.
The sustainability manager of Aço Cearense, Carlos Yves Cavalcante, spoke about the projects of the Group's companies, such as the use of scrap in the production of SINOBRAS steel and the production of the bioenergy reducer carried out by SINOBRAS Florestal, companies of the group that are based in the states of Pará and Tocantins, as well as the use of rainwater and programs of the Instituto Aço Cearense, which involve education, sports and social actions, carried out in Ceará.
The invitation to the talk show came from Professor Márcio Rios, who teaches several specialization classes and proposed this knowledge exchange among the guests. "We always host the talk show with managers who stand out in the sustainability field. It's a way to connect students with the market by showcasing real-life success stories in the field," explained the professor.
