Exchanging experiences on sustainable development initiatives is a practice that society needs to increasingly embrace to learn how to implement small and large ideas that contribute to the future of the planet. In this context, Aço Cearense presented its success stories at the O Povo Communication Group this April. Topics on corporate sustainability were discussed, with the participation of Três Corações and Ayo.
Carlos Yves Cavalcante, Sustainability Manager at Aço Cearense, presented the companies' success stories in Ceará, including recycling projects, rainwater harvesting, youth and adult education, reforestation, and social initiatives with the Instituto Aço Cearense. He also discussed the production of its own bioenergy reducer by SINOBRAS Florestal and the use of scrap in steel production by SINOBRAS, two of the Group's companies located in Tocantins and Pará.
Carlos Yves believes they're on the right track. "Sustainable actions are a concern for everyone at the Group, from the CEO to the operations team. The idea is for everyone to practice these actions not only within the company but also in their own lives, helping to transform the world," the manager explained.
