4th edition of Cycling for Peace in São Gonçalo do Amarante

4ª edição do Pedalando pela Paz em São Gonçalo do Amarante

A more just and less violent society. It was with this goal in mind that the Instituto Aço Cearense held the 4th edition of the Pedalando pela Paz (Pedaling for Peace) cycling tour on August 16th in the municipality of São Gonçalo do Amarante, Ceará.
The cyclists set off at 7:30 a.m. from the Praça da Igreja Matriz de São Gonçalo (São Gonçalo Parish Church Square) to Lagoa da Prejubaca, located on Avenida Coronel Doca Paraíba. The ride was overseen by the Municipal Traffic Authority, and participants received water, freebies, and a raffle for five bicycles. Additionally, several sound trucks livened up the entire route, with a zumba performance and a band at the event's meeting point.
The purpose of Pedalando pela Paz, carried out in partnership with the city government, was to draw the attention of society and public authorities to a culture of non-violence.
