The "From Heart to Heart – No to Hunger" campaign is raising funds to purchase basic food baskets that will be donated to needy families in the states of Ceará, Pará, and Tocantins, where the Group's companies are located: Aço Cearense Industrial, Aço Cearense Comercial, SINOBRAS, and SINOBRAS Florestal. To this end, the institution has intensified the campaign in recent days to benefit as many people as possible.
Rosemeire Matos, president of the Instituto Aço Cearense, explains that in addition to the health crisis, many people are experiencing a severe food insecurity crisis, which led the Institute to create the campaign. "We've been running social projects for 11 years, and since March 2020, we've been intensifying our efforts due to the impact of the pandemic. We've already donated oxygen cylinders, tons of food, masks, school kits, COVID-19 tests, medicines, cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products. Now, we're raising awareness so that together we can help more people," she emphasizes.
To participate is very simple, just access the website institutoacocearense.com.br and donate via Pix or bank transfer. Donations can be made until May 20th. The Instituto Aço Cearense will also include an additional financial contribution for the purchase of more basic food baskets.
