The Aço Cearense Group's case study is presented at an online conference on remote business acceleration.

Case do Grupo Aço Cearense é apresentado em conferência on-line sobre aceleração remota dos negócios

Grupo Aço Cearense's automation initiatives were presented at the Digital Innovation Conference online meeting by the Group's vice president of operations, Ian Corrêa. The event, held last Monday (21), was attended by businesspeople and managers in the area and discussed the theme "The role of automation in accelerating business recovery."

The novel coronavirus pandemic accelerated projects and processes in this area, as social restrictions required new forms of service to be created in a short space of time, so that companies could serve customers and suppliers while maintaining the smooth operation of their activities.

According to Ian Corrêa, when the world was caught off guard by the pandemic, Grupo Aço Cearense, like many other companies, had to quickly adapt to the new scenario, adapting in-person projects to digital and leveraging the company's automation.

"During this pandemic, we quickly considered three important pillars: first, the safety and health of our employees; then, efficiency, how to keep our businesses running; and finally, a conscious and safe recovery.

Thus, with the contribution of everyone who makes up the Group and the collaboration of partners, we were able to adapt quickly and continue all projects and actions,” highlighted the manager.

In addition to Ian Corrêa, the presentation also included Fabrício Diógenes of Unimed Fortaleza; Luciano Bortoluzzi of J. Macedo; and Cláudio Fontes of Solar BR-CE. According to André Navarrete, CEO of OptimizeGroup and organizer of the Digital Innovation Conference, this pandemic has provided several lessons, but the most important one was that companies didn't get stuck in paradigms.

“We have to adapt and use human and technological resources to continue, regardless of the adverse situations that may arise.

Therefore, we discussed this topic with four major executives from major companies, who operate in different segments, and thus we had complementary contributions to create excellent content,” he said.
