On June 1st, the Instituto Aço Cearense held the first edition of IAC Social in the city of São Bento do Tocantins, home to SINOBRAS Florestal, a eucalyptus plantation company belonging to Grupo Aço Cearense. The event took place at the Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS) and featured free cultural, health, and wellness activities for the city's residents.
A day of great entertainment, with dance performances and health services such as fluoride injections, blood pressure checks, discussion groups, and more, made IAC Social a real success among participants. They also enjoyed beauty services such as manicures, haircuts, and blow-drys. Housewife Antônia Guedes was delighted with the services. "It's been a long time since I've had my nails done, many years. I heard about the event here and came to pamper myself a little, to take advantage of this moment happening here in São Bento," said the housewife.
Children also participated in the event, which featured a special program just for them. The Turma do Sorriso (Smile Gang), a project of the Hozana Lopes Cultural Institute, supported by the Instituto Aço Cearense, livened up the day with performances by clowns and magicians. João Pedro Macedo Marinho participated in the event and said he didn't even notice the time passing: "The day flew by without me even realizing it because there were so many games and so much fun that the clock flew by so quickly. I really enjoyed the clowns' dance. Today was a fun day."
The coordinator of the Instituto Aço Cearense, Luciana Rabelo, explained that among the objectives of the action in São Bento are to better understand the city and establish partnerships like this, carrying out social projects that benefit the population of the region around SINOBRAS Florestal.
