The Aço Cearense Group, together with Companhia Siderúrgica do Pecém (CSP), hosted the meeting of the Instituto Aço Brasil's Occupational Safety Committee. The meeting took place on April 3, 4, and 5 for occupational safety managers from large Brazilian steel companies associated with Aço Brasil.
With the aim of sharing information, knowledge, best practices and procedures to contribute to the improvement of the occupational safety areas of the participating companies, the Meeting's program included visits to industrial plants, a study of safety management models and a lecture on the theme "Climb your Everest safely", with Rosier Alexandre.
According to Paulo Novais, from Aperam, the Meeting is a great opportunity to share best practices and learn from participating companies.
"The most important thing for me is sharing experiences, because when it comes to security, we're not competitors, but partners. The program exceeded expectations, with well-discussed topics and everyone's willingness to contribute," explains Paulo.
The companies represented by the Committee are SINOBRAS (a company of the Aço Cearense Group), Usiminas, Gerdau, Aperam, CSP, Ternium, ArcelorMittal Tubarão, Vallourec and Villares Metals.
