GAC launches its new group Basic Policy

GAC lança sua nova Política Básica do grupo

On Monday (22) at Aço Cearense Comercial and today (24) at SINOBRAS, the launch of the new Basic Policy of the Aço Cearense Group took place, presented by Vice-Presidents Aline Ferreira and Ian Corrêa. Cinthia Cavalcanti, Director of Organizational Development and IT, led the event in the presence of directors, managers and coordinators of all the Group's companies.
The change is part of the Strategic Planning that is being implemented in the company with the objective of promoting alignment between managers and employees, defining objectives and goals for the coming years and creating an environment for effective and promising management that will guarantee the resumption of growth and sustainability of Grupo Aço Cearense.

The Basic Policy defines the organizational identity, where the Mission is the declaration of the company's responsibilities and is carried out through routine, management system, indicators, and goals. The Vision describes the company's desired future, and Values are the principles that guide the behaviors, attitudes, and decisions of everyone in the organization.

Diego Carvalho, SESMT Coordinator at ACC and ACI, spoke enthusiastically: "We are extremely pleased to learn about the new GAC Basic Policy, which is rooted in collectivism. The message, besides being unifying, reinforces that we can achieve even better results as long as we work together to achieve it. We know the challenge remains, but whenever we feel fragile or unsure of how to proceed, we will remember our company's values and remain convinced that together we are stronger and can, indeed, go further."

"I welcomed GAC's new policy with great optimism. It's essential that the company reflect the DNA of its president and founder—that is, its principles. I hope that from now on, our unity will strengthen the group. We are one. We are Grupo Aço Cearense," commented enthusiastically Amanda Feijó, ACC's Carbon II Sales Manager.

"It was an objective and enlightening event. The change was significant and rewarding for us. We will become increasingly united as a Group and will certainly achieve our goal and be better going forward," said Carlos Cândido, Rolling Mill Manager at SINOBRAS.

"I was happy and hopeful about the new proposal, as it will result in greater engagement among companies with the Grupo Aço Cearense's objectives, especially regarding SINOBRAS Florestal. We needed to feel more part of the Group, and this policy reflected exactly that—unity. As we disseminate the new policy, this feeling will become increasingly evident," said Juliane Ellem Costa, Manager of SINOBRAS Florestal.

After presenting the new GAC Basic Policy, Cinthia presented the results of the 1st Strategic Planning Workshop and, in recognition of their work, awarded the managers and directors who performed best. "This recognition is a way to show our managers how important the project is and motivate them to achieve our goal with 100% effectiveness," said the Director.
