One of the main actions to avoid workplace accidents and to have efficient maintenance routines is practice of organization and cleaning, essential for the hygiene, health and safety of employees. That's why the Engineering and Maintenance team adopted the tool SOL (Sense of Organization and Cleanliness), with the aim of transforming and improving the work environment.
The project includes training and monthly evaluation of the Workshops' performance in the search for improvements in the organization, cleanliness and use of the area.
1st – Separate the useful from the useless, eliminating the unnecessary;
2nd – Organize objects, equipment and materials so that they can be accessed and used immediately;
3rd – Thoroughly clean and inspect the work area for dirt or imperfections.
The first training session took place in June and was led by Kaio Studart, Industrial Engineer at ACI Matriz. Kelson Nogueira, Maintenance Technician, enjoyed it: "I found it very useful. We learned more about organization, cleaning, and material conservation, and this makes all the difference in our routine. It facilitates activities, prevents accidents, improves team spirit, and even improves the quality of life of our employees," he commented.
The first evaluation took place from June 25th to 29th. Workshops that achieve at least 90% in the SOL criteria will receive a banner alluding to the project, as an exemplary area.
