400 children received gifts at this year's “Happy Hug”

400 crianças receberam presentes no “Abraço Feliz” deste ano

This December, the Aço Cearense Group held another edition of its "Happy Hug" campaign. The initiative is organized by the Aço Cearense Institute, a non-profit organization responsible for all of the Group's social, educational, sports, and environmental initiatives. It aims to bring a little joy to children at social risk during the Christmas season. Last year, the campaign benefited approximately 300 children, and this year, 400 participants from charitable organizations participated. The children themselves wrote the letters with their wishes, which the Aço Cearense Institute collected and placed on Christmas trees at Aço Cearense Comercial, Aço Cearense Industrial, and SINOBRAS.

The first delivery event took place on Thursday morning (14) and afternoon at Aço Cearense Comercial, with a musical performance and many smiles from the children of the Associação Escola de Campeões, Lar de Clara, and CEPEVIVE. Commercial Coordinator Flávio Leitão, one of the sponsors, commented: "This is one of the Aço Cearense Group's most moving events. Everyone who participates takes a trip back in time and rediscovers memories of their childhood. It's refreshing to see these children with their eyes shining as they await the long-awaited gift. I'm sure God will reward the creators of this idea with blessings upon blessings for all," he said.

Deliveries were also made on Friday at Aço Cearense Industrial Branch and included children from Escola de Campeões and Lar de Clara. At SINOBRAS, the campaign awarded gifts to children from the Association of Visual Artists of Southern and Southeastern Pará (ARMA). The events featured musical performances by children from the institutions, which moved the godparents in attendance.

For Rosemeire Matos, president of the Instituto Aço Cearense, the events marked the end of a challenging year. "It's very gratifying to see the joy in these children's eyes. I'm thrilled to see the participation of our employees, especially those who can't afford to buy a gift alone and join forces with colleagues to share the cost. This is the spirit of solidarity and unity we want to instill in our employees. Congratulations on everyone's participation and contribution."

Kelly Vieira, a driver for Aço Cearense Industrial, commented that the campaign is crucial for doing good and bringing joy to children. "Last year, I participated in Abraço Feliz and I see how important it is for Aço Cearense, a large company, to support this initiative. This is an opportunity for these children not to be forgotten, and participating is very rewarding, both for the children and for us employees."

Estrutural, an industrial maintenance company based in Fortaleza, also joined the campaign and adopted around 52 letters.
