Commitment to the Future of All

At Instituto Aço Cearense, we believe that a better future is built through concrete actions and true alliances. We are present in the daily lives of those most in need, supporting social institutions, encouraging sports, and promoting initiatives that strengthen citizenship. We focus on transformation and real impact, connecting people, values, and opportunities in a vast network of solidarity that crosses borders. Because for us, building a more just tomorrow is a mission that renews itself with every action.

Transforming Realities

The Aço Cearense Institute has been working for over 15 years promoting social development and citizenship, directly impacting thousands of lives. Through strategic partnerships with social institutions committed to collective well-being, the Institute has allocated more than R$$ 35 million to projects that have benefited more than 755,000 people in various regions of the country.

Much More Than Financial Support

Our commitment goes beyond investing in social organizations. The Instituto Aço Cearense believes in the power of mobilization and example, supporting athletes, promoting solidarity campaigns within the Group's companies, and bringing transformative actions to communities. Initiatives such as IAC Social, Pedalando Pela Paz, Projeto Crescer, Amor na Massa, and O Que Não Nos Disseram are examples of how we work in practice to build a better tomorrow.

Purpose that Guides

Our purpose is to strengthen the Third Sector by supporting institutions that operate responsibly, efficiently, and with proven social impact. Before establishing partnerships, we conduct a thorough analysis of the organizations' technical, structural, and institutional capabilities, ensuring that resources are well-invested and converted into social transformation.

How We Connect Help and Impact

The selection of partner institutions undergoes a transparent and technical process. Projects are analyzed by the Institute's team, and after initial approval, we conduct on-site visits to gain a closer understanding of the organization's reality and needs. Partnerships last up to one year, with the possibility of renewal, always with ongoing monitoring and alignment with our values.

How we help

The Instituto Aço Cearense invests in and supports institutions for a period of up to one year, and the partnership may be renewed. Institutions interested in being included on the list of supported organizations can send letters or present projects that are evaluated by the Institute's team. If the request is approved, a technical visit is made to the institution to begin monitoring work.

Of these, 114 (one hundred and fourteen) received food from the Central Unit.

Happy Hug Campaign

The campaign aims to encourage the employees of the Aço Cearense Group to feel solidarity and, at the same time, bring a little love to the children in situations of social vulnerability assisted by the Aço Cearense Institute in the three states where it operates. This year, the campaign celebrated its 10th anniversary, benefiting more than 700 children. Over the years of the campaign, more than 4,300 children, 4,500 participating employees and 18 institutions have been impacted.

IAC Social

Social action focused on the well-being of people living in vulnerable contexts. Services offered include citizenship, health, aesthetics, beauty, fluoride application, massage therapy, among others. Since the first edition of the event in 2018, IAC Social has already accounted for around 3,250 services, impacting 30 communities in the states of Ceará, Pará and Tocantins.

IAC Solidarity

In order to support the fight against childhood cancer, we purchased McHappy Day Campaign sandwich vouchers with the Peter Pan Association. After that, we distributed them to children and adolescents from the supported institutions who had never eaten a sandwich or been to the mall, in order to provide experiences and bring dignity.

Move around

is a social initiative of the Instituto Aço Cearense in São Bento – Tocantins, which aims to promote the integration and social development of the local community. With a multifaceted approach, the project offers:

  • Jiu-jitsu classes to promote sport and quality of life;
  • Discussion groups with mothers of children with disabilities to promote inclusion and support;
  • Psychological care to promote mental health and well-being.

Starting as a one-off action, the Movimente-se Project quickly consolidated itself as a permanent program, offering regular jiu-jitsu classes and other activities for the community, in partnership with the MMA project, from Marabá – Pará.

Dance and Life Program

Arising from a need for social equity for children from the outskirts of Caucaia, the Dance and Life Program, the result of a partnership between the Instituto Aço Cearense and the Rossana Pucci Dance Academy, provides children with access to one of the best dance training schools in Fortaleza, where we invest monthly in their tuition, uniforms and transportation. The idea is to provide culture, health and well-being for participants, bringing dance as a physical activity of artistic and social expression.

Project What They Didn't Tell Us

It is a tool for democratizing and providing access to information about Violence Against Women, highlighting the urgency of increasingly addressing this issue, given the high number of women who are victims of violence in the country. The meetings take place throughout the year at an institution supported by the Instituto Aço Cearense.

Camel Water

The project, in partnership with the Instituto Aço Cearense, aims to provide a safe source of treated water for the Anacé community, which is located near the Port of Pecém. To this end, the project foresees the implementation of 3 PDAs (Water Availability Points) in the community: at the Joaquim da Rocha Franco Indigenous School, at the AIPAPC (Indigenous Association) and at the Saul Gomes de Matos Municipal School. Thus, it is estimated that the project should impact around 1,000 people who currently live in this community without access to guaranteed quality water.

Grow Project

We train young people and their families who are served by the Associação Escola de Campeões, in order to prepare them for the job market and potential hiring opportunities for the Aço Cearense Group. This project was carried out in partnership with the HR department of Aço Cearense for three months.

Ecological soap making

We transform improperly discarded cooking oil into ecological cleaning products, promoting social inclusion and income generation for women from vulnerable communities. In 2024, Saboaria won an Innovation Startup award from Corredores Digitais, an innovation hub of the Secretariat of Science, Technology and Higher Education, of the Government of the State of Ceará.

Favela 3D Program

We are supporting Favela 3D, a Gerando Falcões program that aims to transform favelas into dignified, digital and developed environments through a social mandala. More than providing financial support, we contribute by donating steel products, basic food baskets, etc. In Fortaleza/CE, we started with Favela do Inferninho, with Beco do Céu.

Since 2020, the Inferninho Favela has been transformed by the Pensando Bem Institute. Previously, it was an abandoned, polluted alley that served as a space for crime. Now, it is a redefined alley, with life, colors and new equipment – FavTech, Zona Viva, Base Educacional, Casa das Artes, among other spaces for community activities.

The Instituto Aço Cearense is one of the supporters that believes in and strengthens the Favela 3D program in the state of Ceará, being one of the partners that contributes to the favela revolution, providing more dignified conditions, quality of life and opportunities to the community.

Cycling for Peace

An event that aims to mobilize communities that suffer from violence, encouraging people to live in peace, seeking greater security and freedom in coming and going. Held annually, the event seeks to introduce children, adolescents and young people, in addition to the culture of peace, to the importance of cycling as a sport. The event has already been held in Caucaia, Marco, São Gonçalo do Amarante, in Ceará; in São Bento, Tocantins; and in Marabá, in Pará, with the participation of more than 1,700 people.
