Sistema para Drenagem Mediastinal

The Mediastinal Drainage System consists of a graduated bottle (reservoir) with a cap, drainage line, vacuum line, and catheter. The bottle is made of rigid, transparent polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and comes in different volume capacities: 2000, 1000, 500, or 200 ml. The drainage line is made of latex and is connected to the bottle cap, as is the vacuum line, which consists of extruded and flexible PVC tubing. It also includes an internal high-density polyethylene Marriott tube, polycarbonate connectors, a polypropylene flow regulator, and a fixation cord.

O ar e os fluidos corpóreos são drenados do paciente por meio do cateter multiperfurado e através da linha de drenagem, por diferença de pressão (gravidade ou vácuo), ficando depositados no interior do frasco.
