Centrifugal Pump Safira Centriflux® with BRCoating®

The Safira Centriflux Centrifugal Pump with BRCoating coating consists of a body (casing) with two connectors (upper inlet and side blood outlet), which contains a rotor inside (magnetically coupled), responsible for generating the centrifugal force that propels the blood. The product is composed of polymeric materials, and a sphere suitable for medical applications and sterilizable with Ethylene Oxide (ETO).

The body and internal rotor of the Centrifugal Pump, components with the most contact with blood, are made of injected polycarbonate (PC) with a profile that reduces hemolytic trauma normally associated with ECMO procedures. The magnet is N48 Bipolar, and the protective caps are made of polyethylene. In addition, the device is coated with BRCoating, a formulation developed exclusively by Braile Biomédica.
